Products
FLOAT GLASS
PFG's float lines are among the most advanced of their kind in the world. PFG produces 260 000 tons of quality float glass a year, for supply to customers in the building and automotive sectors across five continents.
The PFG site was developed by Pilkington in the 1950s, with the first drawn sheet glass line (SP1) commissioned in 1951. A second line, SP2, was introduced in 1965. In 1977, float glass line (SP3) was commissioned and its first campaign ran for eight years. Since then the line has been enhanced on several occasions, to include the latest technology and introduce ever-improving quality and control systems. In 2007 we commissioned our second world class float line.
PFG's ClearVue float glass is made in clear and green tint, between 1.8mm and 12mm thick. Stock sizes are 3 660 wide and 2 440mm high.
FLOAT GLASS: AUTOMOTIVE
PFG manufactures Original Equipment (OE), and Automotive Replacement Glass (ARG) to the highest quality, as required by the automotive industry and to accepted international standards. PFG’s automotive glass is available in clear and green tints, ASG I and ASG II. The glass is manufactured in stock sheets and various cut sizes, as agreed with our customers.
PFG offers a choice of standard thicknesses. Alternative thicknesses can be manufactured to customer requirements and specifications depending on volumes.
LAMINATED GLASS
PFG produces a range of quality laminated glass products, for application in buildings, homes, decorative and other uses. Our laminated glass is branded Intruderprufe and it is made when two pieces of glass (ClearVue and / or DecorVue) are joined together by a tough interlayer, called a polyvinyl butyral (PVB) plastic interlayer that is bonded between the two pieces of glass under heat and pressure. The result is a high-performance glass material that can withstand hard blows from a solid object - and should the window break, the fragments stick to the interlayer and so the integrity of the window is maintained.
Intruderprufe offers a range of functional, design and building-related benefits including security, safety, solar and sound control solutions, as well as UV protection, decorative uses and energy efficiency benefits.
PFG's laminated glass has been tested by repeatedly dropping a 225g steel ball from a height of nine metres. Each drop is equivalent to a hammer blow. The number of blows required to penetrate the glass is as follows:

Laminated glass is similar to the glass used in car windscreens. The PVB interlayer is clear and therefore invisible when viewed through the glass. However, interlayers can be tinted to produce colours for architectural applications.

The thickness of a PVB interlayer affects the level of safety of the glass. By increasing the thickness, levels of safety in excess of the minimum legal requirements can be achieved.
MIRROR

Traditionally, mirrors have a functional use, which makes them an integral part of our daily lives. Yet mirrors have aesthetic value too. They reflect light, enlarge small rooms, brighten up dark corners and reflect beautiful objects and captivating scenery. One way to 'widen' a room is to fit a vertical ceiling-to-floor mirror adjacent and at right angles to a window. This creates the illusion of a wider room and reflects the window, projecting more light into a room.
Narrow corridors and rooms can be made to seem wider by placing mirrors on the larger walls. This creates the illusion that the room is double its real width. Similarly, mirrors placed opposite each other create the illusion of infinity. A room can be made larger and wider by placing mirror panels in the corners of the room. Mirrors can also create the illusion of depth, liven up dull expanses of walls, and draw attention to objects in a room.

PFG’nin ilk üretim hattı 1951’de, ikinci hattı 1965 yılında, üçüncü hattı ise 1977 yılında devreye girmiştir . O zamandan beri, düz cam hattı, son teknolojinin ve gelişen kalite ve kontrol sistemlerinin uygulanabilmesi için sürekli geliştirilmeye devam etmiştir.
2007 yılında ikinci düz cam hattı devreye girdi. PFG’nin ClearVue düz camı, 1.8 mm ve 12 mm. kalınlıkları arasında üretilmektedir.
DÜZ CAM: OTOMOTİV
PFG, Orijinal Ekipman (OE) ve Otomotiv Yedek Camını (ARG) otomotiv endüstrisinin gerektirdiği en yüksek kalitede ve kabul edilmiş uluslararası standartlarda üretmektedir. Camlar müşterilerin talep etmiş olduğu ebatlar ve plaka adetlerinde üretilmektedir.
PFG, standart kalınlık seçenekleri sunar. Alternatif kalınlıklar, hacimlere bağlı olarak müşteri gereksinimlerine ve özelliklerine göre üretilebilir.
LAMİNE CAM
PFG, binalar, evler, dekoratif amaçlar ve diğer kullanım alanları için lamine cam ürünleri üretmektedir. PFG Lamine camları Intruderprufe olarak adlandırılır ve 2 cam parçasının ( ClearVue ve/veya DecorVue) arasına PVB konularak birleştirilmesiyle oluşur. Camların arasında bulunan PVB ısı ve basınç uygulandığında iki camı birbirine bağlar. Sonuç, sert darbelere dayanıklı yüksek performanslı bir camdır. Cam kırıldığı zaman parçalar ara tabakaya yapışır ve böylece camın bütünlüğü bozulmaz.
Intruderprufe, güvenlik, emniyet, güneş ve ses kontrol çözümleri ile UV koruması, dekoratif kullanımlar ve enerji verimliliği avantajları gibi çeşitli fonksiyonel, tasarım ve bina ile ilgili avantajlar sunar.
